On May 27th, Zhang Chunpeng, General Manager of Weatherford (China) Energy Services Co., Ltd., led a delegation to ZPEC’s Shanghai Headquarters for discussions and inspection. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics, including cutting-edge oil and gas engineering technologies, advanced downhole tool applications, oil production equipment research and development, and global market mutual cooperation, and ultimately reached a consensus on future collaboration.

The meeting was attended by David Schipano, Business Development Manager of Weatherford Postal Asia Pacific, Chen Yihai, Technical Manager of Postal China, Lu Xinzhou, Vice President of ZPEC Group, Li Huifeng, General Manager of ZPEC Drilling Company, and Song Erhui, Deputy General Manager of ZPEC Oilfield Services.

During the meeting, Zhang Chunpeng provided a detailed overview of Weatherford’s core business and technological strengths. He expressed that the company was deeply committed to oil and gas services and was able to provide integrated solutions for oil drilling, completion, cementing and logging, and complete solutions for high-end oil and gas equipment. With its strong technical capabilities, Weatherford has maintained a leading position in the industry. Core technologies, including high-end completion tools, precision cementing equipment, and sophisticated logging systems had been successfully deployed and maturely applied to complex deep-well, horizontal-well projects, and other key and challenging oil and gas projects. These technologies, he noted, were highly aligned with ZPEC’s business and presented significant opportunities for collaboration.

Lu Xinzhou, in turn, introduced ZPEC’s industrial layout and development strategics. He noted that, as an integrated international energy company operating six oil and gas blocks, ZPEC was accelerating its development of the international block at full speed, steadily advancing toward its goal of becoming a world-class energy company. Focused on the full industrial chain covering oil and gas exploration and production, engineering and technical services, and high-end equipment manufacturing, ZPEC had built extensive project operating experience across overseas markets in the Middle East and Central Asia along the Belt and Road. He underscored that the complementary strengths of the two companies were remarkable, and the foundation for a mutually beneficial partnership was strong, pointing to broad prospects for future cooperation.

It is understood that Weatherford is recognized as one of the world’s four major oilfield service companies, specializing in providing integrated oilfield engineering services and high-end equipment solutions. Backed by its cutting-edge core technologies, the company has long been leading the development of the global oilfield services industry.
