To further improve ZPEC Group’s intellectual property protection system and enhance the ability of its technical team to safeguard innovation outcomes, ZPEC Group held an IP special training session at its Shanghai Lingang Base on April 17. More than 30 technical staff from the ZPEC Group’s headquarters, equipment, oil services, and drilling divisions attended the training.

Two experienced IP consultants, attorneys, and patent agents, Hu Zhilong and Wu Yichun, were from Shanghai Shenxin Law Firm to form the teaching team for the training. Under the theme of “Special Training on Patent Application,” the instructors delivered a comprehensive, in-depth, and detailed explanation of topics including patent fundamentals, patent application procedures, practical scenarios in the oil and gas industry, preparation of technical disclosures, patent mining techniques, risk prevention in patent compliance management, software patent applications, and software copyright registration. The session was delivered via and offline format. The instructors also answered relevant questions raised by trainees, who benefited greatly, and the training achieved its expected goals.

The technical training was well received by R&D and management staff, who noted that it further enhanced the IP protection awareness of R&D, management, and technical professionals, and effectively strengthened their capabilities in IP protection and patent portfolio development.

As a national high-tech enterprise, ZPEC Group has always placed great emphasis on intellectual property. To date, the company has accumulated 525 national authorized patents, including 50 invention patents, 399 utility model patents, 10 design patents, and 66 software copyrights.
