On October 16^th, a delegation from SLB Reservoir Production Enhancement Group visited ZPEC Sichuan. The two parties held in-depth discussions on equipment manufacturing, downhole tools, overseas project coordination and other topics, and reached broad consensus on advancing multi-level practical cooperations.

The symposium was attended by Utsav Ujagar, Global Product Manager of SLB Reservoir Production Enhancement Group, Henri Pierre Valero, Global Product R&D Manager, Zhang Shu, Vice General Manager of SLB’s North Asia Region and General Manager of the Reservoir Production Enhancement Group, Chen Keli, General Manager of ZPEC Sichuan, Yang Shuai, Vice General Manager, and Guo Hongwei and Wang Kang, Vice General Managers of ZPEC Technical Services.

At the Symposium, Chen Keli welcomed the delegation representatives. He briefly introduced ZPEC Group’s industrial layout and ZPEC Sichuan’s R & D and manufacturing, and quality control. He highlighted core products such as top drives, offline drilling rigs, and ZPEC Kaser series downhole tools. He systematically elaborated on the advantages of products’ modular designs, their adaptability to downhole working conditions, and typical field application cases. He expressed the hope that the two parties would fully leverage their respective strengths, start with product procurement, and gradually expand into technical cooperation, joint development and localized manufacturing, thus achieving mutual benefit and win-win results. 

Guo Hongwei reviewed the foundation of the two parties’ cooperation in Iraq and other overseas projects. He noted, as ZPEC’s oil and gas blocks continue to expand, the Company’s demand for high-end downhole equipment is growing. He expressed the hope that both sides would further improve technical alignment channels, tap the potential for cooperation in equipment, technology, and services, and push cooperation to greater depth with more tangible results.

Zhang Shu spoke on behalf of SLB delegation. He stated ZPEC is an important partner of SLB and that the two sides have a solid cooperation foundation and strong complementary businesses. SLB is currently promoting the eastward shift of its supply chain and accelerating its localization layout. He expressed the hope that, by leveraging ZPEC’s manufacturing capabilities, the two sides could explore pathways for localizing high-end equipment and jointly develop overseas oil and gas markets.

After the symposium, the delegation toured the electric control, top drive, drill bit, and Kaser downhole tool workshops in succession, where they gained a firsthand understanding of the production processes, quality control, and delivery assurance capabilities. They spoke highly of ZPEC’s equipment manufacturing level.
