On October 6^th and 7^th, ZPEC Rig 41’s Well S6-1 of the Coast Oilfield and ZPEC Rig 4’s Well S3 successively commenced drilling. With this, ZPEC Rigs 31, 32, 41, and 4 have all started drilling operations, marking the accelerated phase of the development of the Coast Oilfield.

At the drilling commencement site, Hu Zhaodong, Deputy General Manager of Petro Drilling Company and Coast Oilfield Project Manager, and Chen Tao, Deputy Project Manager of the Coast Oilfield Project, congratulated the two teams on the smooth start of drilling. They thanked all employees and supporting units for their hard work, and encouraged each drilling team to continue carrying forward the spirit of unity, collaboration, and overcoming difficulties to ensure the safe and efficient progress of drilling operations.

During the drilling preparation stage, under the unified deployment of the project, each drilling team strictly implemented safety and technical management requirements. They earnestly carried out equipment inspections, personnel training, and safety and technical disclosure work. Meanwhile, integrated units, such as the engineering fleet and oilfield services, actively provided assistance and cooperation, offering strong support in material allocation, equipment maintenance, and living support, laying a solid foundation for the smooth commencement of drilling for the four wells.

Well S6-1 is a directional well with a designed depth of 3,014 meters and a designed drilling and completion period of 35 days. Well S3 is a vertical well with a designed depth of 2,690 meters and a designed drilling and completion period of 30 days. The target formations of both wells are the Triassic System.
