On April 10th, Well YB152-D04, drilled by ZPEC Rig 17, was successfully completed in 12.58 days, which was 7 days ahead of the designed period. This achievement broke the previous drilling period record of 13.98 days for Well S in SCP Block held by the same team. The client, Schlumberger Changhe Oilfield's Yanbei Project Department, sent a congratulatory letter immediately and rewarded Rig 17 with a 150,000 yuan bonus.

Well YB152-D04, with a total depth of 2,909, is located in Qinghuabian Town, Baota District, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Since its spudding on March 29th, ZPEC Rig 17 faced unfavorable factors, such as a continuous sandstorm, which prompted the team to organize and implement various measures to fully ensure the safe construction of the drilling operation.

Before spudding, the ZPEC Yan’an Project and well team carefully analyzed the engineering and geological designs, fully summarized the drilling experiences of the wells on this platform, made bold attempts in the selection of drill bits and down-hole motors, as well as the mud plan. They also formulated advance measures to deal with potential well leakage and well collapse strata. During the drilling operation process, the well-site experts and the team members of ZPEC Rig 17 strictly implemented the operational procedures and technical instructions, timely assessed the risks of the working conditions, and supervised the whole process of key and difficult operation procedures, thus ensuring the safety of the drilling operation and the engineering quality, while greatly improving the drilling efficiency.
