At 10:00 AM Iraq time on April 22^nd, a signing ceremony was held for the EBN Capital Oilfield 2D and 3D Seismic Exploration Project between Zhongman Middle East Oil & Gas Company (Iraq Branch) and the Iraq Oil Exploration Company at the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. Under the agreement, the exploration covers 440 square kilometers of 3D seismic survey and 300 kilometers of 2D seismic survey. The seismic data subsequently obtained will lay a solid foundation for improving development efficiency, achieving early commercial production, and ensuring long-term stable production.

People presented at the ceremony include Iraqi Deputy Oil Minister Basim, Midland Oil Company (MdOC) General Manager Mr. Yasin, Iraq Oil Exploration Company General Manager Mr. Osama, Chairman of the EBN Capital Oilfield Joint Management Committee Mr. Amir, and Mr. Geng Xianliang, Senior Vice President of ZPEC and President of ZPEC Iraq Oilfield Project Company.

At the ceremony, Mr. Yasin stated that ZPEC had not only signed development and production contracts with Midland Oil Company for the EBN Capital Oilfield and MF Shenghu Oilfield, but also had provided high-quality drilling services for several of the company’s other oilfield projects, including EBS and NK, which effectively supported the growth of Midland Oil Company. Deputy Minister Mr. Basim spoke highly of ZPEC and expressed his gratitude.

Mr. Geng Xianliang extended thanks to Iraqi Ministry of Oil and all relevant departments for their continued care and support. He said, "We hope that this seismic exploration cooperation will proceed safely, in compliance with regulations, with high quality and high efficiency, enhance the production capacity of the EBN Oilfield, contribute to Iraq’s GDP growth, and create more local jobs." He added that the joint Iraqi-Chinese workforce would also bring more tax revenue to Iraq, actively support local economic and social development, and make further social contributions.
