On January 18th, ZPEC’s Annual 2022 Working Conference was held at its Shanghai Lingang Base. By reviewing the achievements in 2021 and deploying the work for 2022, the whole Group got a clear understanding of the situation, strengthened its confidence, and made clear its goals. The conference required all cadres and employees to work hard with one heart and one mind.  Through ZPEC’s system and mechanism reforms and the implementation of three internationalization strategies, the levels of efficiency will  continuously improve, thus promoting the high-quality development of ZPEC Group.

Nearly 200 leaders of the Group, the Headquarters, and the Shanghai Equipment Manufacturing Base attended the main venue meeting. Additional employees of domestic and foreign sub-companies attended the meeting in 17 sub-venues simultaneously via video conferencing.

To begin the conference, a feature film of the Group in 2021 was shown. From the perspectives of innovating the integrated development mode of the Wensu Oilfield Project and making great achievements in domestic and foreign engineering markets, it showed the spirit of solidarity, unity, and courage of the employees at home and abroad under the pandemic situation.  Vivid pictures and touching stories strongly resonated with the participants.

Subsequently, Zhu Fengxue, ZPEC Group Vice Chairman, gave the annual work report entitled "Focus on high quality, increase benefits in an all-round way, and push the construction of internationally renowned comprehensive energy companies to a new level". He introduced the main achievements and outstanding practices of each unit in production and operation in 2021 from four aspects: exploration and development, drilling engineering, equipment manufacturing, and enterprise management and system construction. He pointed out that in 2021, the exploration and development business was fruitful and the Group's transformation to an integrated energy company was successful. The drilling sector actively resumed production and its efficiency-creating ability continued to improve throughout the year. The equipment manufacturing sector was aggressive with products successfully entering Sinopec and American markets. Enterprise management and system construction were continuously strengthened and management performance was improved. After objectively analyzing the shortcomings of the year's work, Mr. Zhu made arrangements for the Group's work in 2022 from eleven aspects, such as: deepening reform, management innovation, upgrading the value of the industrial chain, internationalization of talents, market, and financing, requiring the whole Group to aim at creating an internationally renowned multinational comprehensive energy company. Furthermore, he stated that careful planning, integration of resources, and tapping of potential will push the Group's high-quality development to a new level.

Finally, Li Chundi, Chairman of ZPEC Group, delivered an important speech. He pointed out that 2021 was an extraordinary year. Under the severe situation of the pandemic and insufficient funds, the Zhongman Group fought an arduous battle and successfully transformed itself into a resource-based enterprise, which turned the tide of war in one fell swoop and ushered in new opportunities for rapid development. He emphasized the key work in 2022 from seven aspects: First, ZPEC should take the development of energy resources as the foundation and technological innovation as the breakthrough, so that technological innovation can lead the development of the industry. The second is to further enhance the international positioning of ZPEC and truly realize the three internationalizations. Thirdly, build and polish the ZPEC brand. Fourth, Equipment Manufacturing should find a breakthrough in technology. Fifth, Drilling Engineering should make a new breakthrough in technology and have high morale and combat capability. At the same time, Mr. Li also elaborated on the need for fine management and the integration of business chain and industrial chain. He encouraged everyone to go forward hand-in-hand and persevere after experiencing the coldest winter in the history of ZPEC. He exclaimed, “Let’s go to a better future together!”
At the meeting, Chairman Li signed agreements of responsibility for business objectives in 2022 with the heads of various units. Yao Guicheng, Senior Vice President of the Group, introduced the management optimization and business development plan in 2022, and Ye Jifeng, Senior Vice President of the Group, explained the income forecast and planned budget for 2022. Furthermore, the results of the 2021 business assessment were reported and commendations were given to the advanced collectives and individuals for their achievements in 2021.
