College Students from SWPU Visiting and Learning in KPEM

January 19, about 100 college students from Southern-west Petroleum University visit KPEM for study and get close look at the whole procedure of production of drilling rigs. With the enterprise-college cooperation going deeper and deeper, KPEM has become the training and practice base of this university.

Guiding by personnel from the Technical Department and Production Department of KPEM, the students visited rivet welding workshop and commissioning yard and they climbed up to a ZJ50DB rig floor which is under commissioning. They are very interested in a ZJ40J drilling rig which has been upgraded from an old one and has good capability.

Since joining into the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Equipment Production and Academic Union on November 2009, based on mutual benefits, KPEM set its objectives as to overcome industry-specific technology bottle-neck, to research and develop key products and evaluate capability on independent innovation with the supporting of the University, and has come into a good relationship under complementary strengths, achievement share, long-term cooperation and common development. And it has positively boosted both the R&D capability of KPEM and the practical ability of the college students. (Hao Donglei)
