At 8:00pm on March 15, 2023, Well Wen 25-2H1, drilled by ZPEC Rig 12, was successfully completed 12.11 days ahead of schedule, which not only contributed to the increase of reserves and production in the ZPEC Aksu Oilfield, but also accumulated rich experience for drilling two-section horizontal wells in the future.

Well Wen 25-2H1 is the first horizontal well with two sections drilled by ZPEC Drilling Company since the big development of Aksu Oilfield. The design depth of the well was 2,013 meters with an actual drilling depth of 2,047 meters. ZPEC Rig 12 began the drilling according to the design requirements of the drilling project, starting with the utilization rate of the solid control equipment, continuously improving the mud performance, optimizing the shale shake screens, and continuously reducing the sand concentration. In order to ensure the safe and efficient completion without accidents, ZPEC Oilfield Service Company dispatched its elite troops. In the end, the well was successfully completed within the actual well construction period of 12.15 days.

At the beginning of Aksu Oilfield’s development, all of the horizontal wells drilled by ZPEC Drilling Company were drilled in the third section. In order to further shorten the well construction period and to improve the construction efficiency, the Drilling Company cooperated with ZPEC’s Integrated Unit to optimize the engineering design, thus changing to complete the well drilling in the second section.
