2022-01-12

At 6:00pm, Iraq local time, on January 5th, the first well in the second phase of BP Project’s North Rumaila Oilfield, Well R-741, drilled by ZPEC Rig 26 Team, was successfully spudded. This opened the prelude to the expedition to the North Rumaila Oilfield.

R-741 Well is nearly 40 kilometers away from the last drilled well.  ZPEC Rig 26’s whole team strictly implemented the requirements of Party A and ZPEC Iraq Company. They overcome the difficulties of the rainy season, achieved zero personal injuries, zero equipment damage, and zero infections during the rig move. All of the staff adhered to the spirit of ZPEC’s “Iron Journey” and carried out the relocation in spite of the weather. The entire team planned the route in advance and submitted it to Party A for approval. Due to their adequate preparation and effective measures, they set a record of drilling in less than 10 days for long-distance moving in this area.
