On November 7, 2021, the third well, Ru-500, of the Second Phase of the BP Project drilled by ZPEC Rig 26 was successfully completed. This well is a Mishrif well with the largest displacement in the first and second phases of the ZPEC BP Project. ZPEC Rig 26 completed the drilling successfully with a 38.46-day drilling period and 8.9 days ahead of schedule and was highly praised by Party A.

During the operation of this well, on the basis of the previous operational experience summed up by various technical experts, ZPEC Rig 26 fully conducted analysis and preventive measures for the risks of each link, optimized BHA and technology, while the plugging, directional, and the mechanical drilling speed of Section II and Section III were significantly improved.

While seizing the operation schedule, Rig 26 paid close attention to team management, especially for local employees, further strengthening time management and technical training, which solved the relative shortage of Chinese employees after the implementation of the new contractThis greatly mobilized the team's enthusiasm. While doing a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic, all operational links were closely connected and the timeliness greatly improved.

On December 10, 2020, ZPEC and BP signed a service contract for the drilling and completion project of the Rumaila Oilfield in Iraq. The total contract amount is approximately USD 85.54 million (~RMB 556 million).  This is the second drilling and completion service contract signed between ZPEC and BP in Iraq.
