Pakistan’s ZPEC Team 33 Praised for Fighting the Epidemic While Relocating

2020-11-16

On November 13th, ZPEC Team 33 of the Pakistan Project received a letter of commendation from UEP On-site Supervisor, Mr. Ishtiaq, who gave high priority to the team’s epidemic prevention and safety production while safely and efficiently completing the relocation work during the epidemic.

Team 33 conscientiously implemented the overall requirements of “prevention first” in accordance with the prevention and control requirements, focused on epidemic prevention and production tasks, and did their best to fight the “epidemic defense war” of safe production in the fourth quarter. Under the increasingly severe epidemic situation in Pakistan, during the relocation of Team 33, the “high-risk” people living in areas with large populations of outsiders were the most exposed.  This brought great challenges to the team’s epidemic prevention and control work. For this reason, the Team conducted a thorough investigation of the personnel information of the moving company in advance to ensure the physical health of the relocated personnel and performed temperature testing and registration of all personnel before entering the site while totally disinfecting the relocation equipment. Also required were the refining and improving specific measures, implementing the "marking" strategy, and implementing each specific measure implementation and supervision responsibility to each employee one by one, so that everyone was supervised and responsible.

Since the beginning of 2020, ZPEC Drilling Team 33 has continuously improved its safety and quality management, strengthened its on-site HSE management, and carried out risk analysis of all employees and the whole process, while strictly implementing UEP’s requirements and local epidemic prevention standard operating procedures.  It focused on strengthening direct operations, key construction procedures, and supervision of key parts to ensure safe and efficient construction.

During the epidemic, Team 33 made fine and careful arrangements for the relocation of road surveys, the allocation of new and old wells, the fixation and protection of equipment during the relocation, the reasonable stowage of transportation vehicles, and the support of logistics life. The various processes were considered first and properly prioritized according to the “three rotations” working method of: placing equipment around the drilling standard, personnel around the forklift, and disassembly sequence around the derrick base.  These key processes and nodes were efficiently connected and highly praised by UEP.
