On January 6, 2017, Iraq local time, Block 12 derrick raising project at Salman-1 wellsite successfully passed checking and acceptance work.

 

On January 6, Shen Ruiping, Manager of Block 12 Project, met with 25 employees in which he pointed out that since December 8, 2016 the derrick had reached the Salman-1 wellsite.  Most of the maintenance and inspection had been completed, and all materials were in place.  As an integrated drilling services project, it was difficult to prepare everything for the wellsite.  The headframe hoisting process needed to slow down and the safety director remained onsite to ensure the safety of the site personnel, keeping ‘Safety First’ as the top priority.

 

After the early preparation stage, derrick lifting work took five hours to complete.  Due to the careful planning of Project Manager Shen Ruiping and Platform Manager Xu Xingang, the layout of the well site was prepared and the hardware was readied.  With strict executive and standardized management, including HSE management system, the owner’s drilling director and HSE supervisor approved the raising.  There was never a shutdown during the installation and the derrick raising went very smooth with acceptance given at that time.

 

The construction conditions of Block12 Project were very harsh.  Everyone brought their “ZPEC spirit" and overcame various difficulties, showing high strength.  All staff said they would continue to work hard, paying great attention to safety, ensuring high standards of operation.  Thus, continuing to enhance the  ZPEC brand image and further expanding the market by laying a solid foundation for the future.
