ZPEC No. 23 Team Successfully Spuds Its Third Iraqi Well

On October 24, 2012, ZPEC No. 23 Team successfully spudded in its third Iraqi well, WQ2-234. Since its first well on May 24th, ZPEC No. 23 Team has drilled 3 wells and completed 2 of them with a total of 5,568 meters drilling footage.
The previous well, WQZ-223, was finished drilling at 17:00 on October 21st Iraqi local time. That well’s designed depth was 2,630 meters, but the actual drilling depth was 2,841 meters with a 43 degree deviation. With a designed drilling period of 70 days, it took only 58 days to finish the drilling, which was 12 days ahead of schedule.
