ZPEC Drilling Team 20 Successfully Finishes GAZPROM Well

On the afternoon of December 5th Iraqi local time, ZPEC Drilling Team 20 finished drilling the P10 well of the GAZPROM Project. It marked a “new year present” from Team 20 to the ZPEC Group!

Well P10 was spudded in on April 25, 2016, being 4,776 meters deep. It is the third well Drilling Team 20 has finished since they began participating in the Basra Project. Due to the experience they gained during the first two wells, P4 and P15, the drilling operation of P10 employed more scientific drilling parameters, a higher level of teamwork between the staff, and a more effective treatment of potential danger. All of these elements guaranteed Well P10’s smooth finish.

Supported by GAZPROM and the relevant departments, Team 20 changed the main equipment, such as the slush pump and the shale shaker, during the operation. The change of the equipment enhanced the capacity of their drilling equipment. Meanwhile, they continued to improve their operational competence and services.
